I started my working life as a horse riding instructor, working mainly with children on the autistic spectrum and disabled riders. I then became involved in managing Children’s homes and providing therapeutic support to young people in crisis. I am a qualified advocate and have worked alongside adults with serious mental illness supporting them to uphold their rights and get their voices heard. I have worked with and managed care homes for people with learning disabilities. More recently, I have completed a level 5 Advanced Diploma Course in Humanistic Integrative Counselling. For the past two years I have worked in placement as a voluntary therapist in HMP Dartmoor and the Dartmoor Centre For Counselling and Psychotherapy, before moving into private practice.
